Dental horrors
My latest 100-word terror comes via a suggestion from my daughter, Samantha, who saw something online she thought would make a good horror story. I think she was right, and I hope you agree.
Don’t Forget to Floss
The dental hygienist frowned.
“Dr. Miller won't be happy about those gums.”
Roger Antwerp spit blood into the bowl and turned to speak, but the hygienist was gone.
The dentist came into the room and probed Roger’s mouth. Above his mask, his eyebrows formed a bushy “V” of disapproval.
“Mrs. Antwerp,” he said, “would you and your daughter come in, please?”
Roger’s wife and 9 year-old daughter appeared. Dr. Miller pulled a pistol out of his lab coat and shot them. They collapsed in two crimson heaps.
“They bleed,” the dentist explained, “because you don’t floss.”

Here's one my daughter suggested...
My daughter suggested the premise for this 100-word horror tale...
All Debts, Public and Private
Store clerks noticed the unusual texture of the $50
and $100 bills. The bills were too
thick, and looked like something you’d make on a copying machine, covered on
both sides with some sort of greasy, translucent material. Still, their special pens said the currency
was good, so what could they do?
Police never had the chance to bring the
counterfeiter they came to call “The Mummy” to justice. He was found dead in his apartment, exsanguinated,
wrapped head to toe in bandages covering a bloody patchwork of rectangular
scars in varying stages of healing.

Something a little darker...
Another of my favorites, but certainly a bit darker than my usual stuff.
Voices
Jonas
knew they couldn’t keep the baby. No matter how excited his wife
had been about conceiving again, he couldn’t ignore the voices that
told him the baby wasn’t theirs to keep.
Jonas
carried the small bundle to the outhouse. The voices were loudest
here; a droning babble rising from the stinking dark hole. He could
hear them calling for the child.
He
held the bundle over the opening and the tiny body tumbled out. It
sank into the muck amidst a handful of tiny yellowing skulls.
The
voices were silenced, except for one. Soon it was silenced, too.

One of my favorites...
Haven't written anything new to share, but I think you'll like this one.
Melissa touched the bloody bandage above her breast, smiled and shrugged.
The Autograph
Melissa was the pop singer’s biggest fan. She had all his CD’s, and his posters plastered the walls of her bedroom like a mini shrine.
When she finally managed to get her idol’s autograph, she could hardly wait to show it off to her best friend, Stephanie.
She was going to be so jealous!
Stephanie came over to Melissa’s house. She squinted at the framed signature on the bedroom wall. It was written on a wrinkly, rough-edged yellowish rectangle.
“What’s that he signed on?” Stephanie asked.
Melissa touched the bloody bandage above her breast, smiled and shrugged.

Just in time for Valentine's Day...
This is a slimmed-down version of an older story that weighed in at a bulky 208 words or so. For your reading pleasure it has been trimmed down to 100 words, including the title. Hope you enjoy it!
I Heart Tony
Having Tony around for holidays was nice, Veronica thought, carrying a small heart-shaped box of candy toward the door at the rear of the house.
She’d had boyfriend trouble, and Tony was no different; wonderful to start, then abusive, first with his mouth, then his fists. But they’d worked things out.
Veronica opened the door, stepped into the garage and opened the lid on a big freezer, revealing Tony’s corpse. She fitted the heart-shaped box into the hole in Tony’s chest and kissed his frosty lips. She smiled, licking moisture from her mouth.
“Happy Valentine’s Day, baby.”

More stories to check out!
I have a number of stories that have appeared online at MicroHorror.com and FlashesInTheDark.com. You can find my MicroHorror stories here:
http://www.microhorror.com/microhorror/category/author/robert-c-eccles/
My latest MicroHorror story was an entry for their annual October themed story contest. It's called "Eyes" and oddly enough it's 100 words long, including the title.
You can find my FlashesInTheDark stories here:

Looks like my last submission there was a Valentine's Day-themed poem. I'm a submissions editor there, too.
I have a 100-word Valentine's Day horror story ready to go here at HorrAbble, but I'll hold off posting it until next month.
Hope you enjoy my MicroHorror and FlashesInTheDark stories!

Giving birth is hard work.
Push
The knife tucked under the mattress
wasn't easing Marcy's labor pains as the old wive's tale suggested it
should. Adding insult to injury, the moron who had gotten her into
this predicament to begin with was blowing beer breath in her face.
“C'mon, baby, push harder!” Clarence huffed. Under the beer, Marcy thought she could smell pastrami.
“Enough!” Marcy yelled. She reached under the mattress, grabbed the knife and stabbed Clarence through the heart. He fell dead on the floor. Marcy's labor pains persisted, but Clarence's nasty breath was gone. The knife had been good for something, after all.

Another recent holiday-themed tale
Thanksgiving Dinner
“Thanksgiving’s not the same without grandma,” Peter said,
passing the stuffing to Grandpa, who shrugged and passed the dish to Aunt Gwen,
who was sitting to his right.
“More for the rest of us,” he said.
“Dad, please!” said Peter’s mother, Marcy. “You could at
least feign mourning.”
“What does feign mean?” Peter asked around a mouthful of
stuffing.
“It means…” Marcy began.
“Ow!” Peter yelled, pulling a large costume jewelry ring
from his mouth.
“Isn’t that one of mom’s rings?” Marcy asked.
Grandpa grinned. “You
want me to feign surprise? How is that stuffing, by the way?”

Frosty's Revenge
I'll start with one I just recently wrote...
Frosty’s Revenge
Jeff paused only briefly to ponder
whether destroying a snowman in someone’s yard could be considered a
destruction of private property before swinging away with his Louisville
Slugger. He felt much better after reducing
the frozen figure to a pile of slush.
That would teach his neighbor to let his dog crap on his lawn.
That night, cold water dripping on
Jeff’s forehead woke him from a sound sleep.
Staring into the snowman’s hovering face, its gaping mouth displaying
rows of pointed icicle teeth, Jeff understood that charges of destruction of
property were the least of his worries.
